Religion vs Relationship

Religion tells you "how-to" be like God.
Relationship overflows the fullness of God into you.

Religion began in the Garden. "This is what you do to become like God"... without God.

Relationship begins when you walk and talk with Jesus.

Religion demands a mask. The Gospel is face to face with our Savior. 

Religion demands faith. The Gospel supplies it.

So disappointing

Religion leads to disappointment in Jesus. "I don't know why Jesus let that happen." "I don't know why Jesus wont heal you." "I don't know why Jesus [insert disappointment]." #detox

The endless pursuit.

We've been conditioned through religion to search for things in our life that separate us from God... aka sin.

Jesus is only interested in drawing us in... having a relationship with us... walking daily with us... sharing everything with us.

We can't fix and repair enough to measure up to His holiness. We can be open and real with Him... He already knows anyway. It's about relationship and sharing our heart.

He isn't searching us for a reason to leave. Let me repeat that... He isn't searching us for a reason to leave. He is pursuing us to trust us with more and more of Him!

Stop sin searching... it's a never ending search... it will always be there. Start a relationship with Him. He will give all the understanding and love He has for you just as you are. Always. Forever. #detox
